Keke Palmer Coming to Seton Hall
The Student Activities Board is bringing Keke Palmer to campus for SHU Speaks
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ, November 17 – Seton Hall’s Student Activities Board is excited to announce the guest speaker for the 2019 SHU Speaks event is actress, activist, music artist, and TV personality Keke Palmer. The event will take place Thursday, November 21st at 8 p.m. in Bethany Hall.
Just as past SHU Speakers guests, the event will include a thought-provoking lecture and Q&A with Keke. Only one ticket is permitted per undergraduate student and seats are limited. “We are really excited for Keke to come and speak on campus,” said SAB member Robert Ruszkowski. “She will bring some great insight and was a huge influence on students growing up.”
Keke is well known for her starring role in Nickelodeon’s Akeelah and The Bee and cable series True Jackson, VP. She also starred in one of Disney Channel’s hit movies Jump In. Palmer also recently made history as the first African American and youngest actress to star in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, Cinderella. Since her early years Palmer has hit the big screen with over 20 feature films including Ice Age: Continental Drift, Joyful Noise, Brotherly Love and Imperial Dreams. She recently just published her first book, I Don’t Belong to You, Quiet the Noise and Find Your Voice.
